Screen

My work on screen, from adaptation to television presenting — stories of landscape, memory, nature, creativity and connection.

The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart

In 2023, my debut novel The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart premiered as a seven-part Prime Video series starring Sigourney Weaver, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Asher Keddie, Leah Purcell and Frankie Adams.

Premiere stats - broke records etc + AACTA win in 2024.

Have courage, take heart.

How did it feel?

Seeing the first novel that I wrote – from my memories, longings, fears, hurts and loves – take another life from page to screen was one of the most surreal, joyous, difficult and moving experiences of my creative life. It will stay with me always.

My other work on screen*

* being the co-host of an extraordinary ABC TV nature series was not on my bingo card but here we are

** my first time in front of the camera + we filmed in 2020 throughout the pandemic = a gruelling, beautiful experience

I couldn’t recommend a show more. The cinematography is phenomenal. The hosting is perfect. All of it is so immersive and well done. It’s forest bathing through your television.
— ZAN ROWE, BANG ON PODCAST
There’s something magical about this series.
— CLARE RIGDEN, THE WEST AUSTRALIAN
This is a televisual tonic... a placid, meditative and richly informative show.
— GRAEME BLUNDELL, THE WEEKEND AUSTRALIAN
This year’s most beautiful new show. This stunning series soars.
— ANDREW MERCADO, MEDIAWEEK
The slow, gentle salve we all need ... it takes every ounce of self-control not to leap through the screen.
